What to do when your child utters a word wrongly in the letter exit

Most of the time, children come up with hard words in the wrong and funny way. How should parents respond in this case? Do they have to correct and review the mistakes of their young? Is it healthy to laugh at the funny way a child speaks?

Often children say hard words in the wrong and funny way at the same time. Should parents correct the child's language errors immediately? Is it acceptable to laugh at their funny way of speaking?

"Most parents repeat the same word that the child mispronounced but correctly," says education expert, author and blogger Danielle Graff. For example, if the child says during a visit to the zoo: "Look, Mom, it's a giraffe!" the mother should then reply, "Yes, this is a giraffe," without drawing attention to the mistake. Constant correction can become an obstacle to learning languages, says Graf, a mother of two. "However, repeating the correct pronunciation of the word spoken incorrectly will help the child gradually learn the correct pronunciation without embarrassing him."

Graf says there is no resentment that some of the wrong words are incorporated into the common words used by the family as this would "enhance synergy." She points out that there is also nothing wrong with laughing at those words as long as you are clearly not making fun of the child.
